SWEEPSTAKES  DATES

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. PT on October 25, 2013 and ends at 9:59:59 a.m. PT on October 31, 2013 (“Sweepstakes Period”).  All entries must be submitted and received within this time period.  Any entries not received within this time period will be disqualified.  The computer clock of Sponsor’s webmaster is the official timekeeping device of the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

Watch for a code word on the KTLA 5 Morning News (the "Show") between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on October 25, 2013, and between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on each remaining day during the Sweepstakes Period (with the exception of October 26 and 27 when no code words will be given). The code word will be provided and displayed onscreen during the broadcast of the Show.  Then, go to www.ktla.com/kanye during the Sweepstakes Period.  Alternatively, you may visit www.facebook.com/ktla5morningnews and click the button for the Kanye West giveaway. Log into Facebook and click the “like” button on the page.  By clicking “like,” you will be directed to the Sweepstakes entry form on which you will be required to provide all information requested, including, without limitation, the code word, name, telephone number, and a valid email address.  Facebook users who have already “liked” the KTLA 5 Morning News Facebook page before the Sweepstakes Period will be taken directly to the entry form by visiting www.ktla.com/kanye. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

Each Round set forth in the table below constitutes a separate and distinct Entry Period within this Sweepstakes. Each Round in this Sweepstakes begins the moment each day's code word is announced on the KTLA 5 Morning News. For clarity, Round 1 starts on Friday, October 25, and lasts until Sunday, October 27. Entries will be accepted on the following schedule:

*The code word for Round 5 was not displayed according to the original schedule due to breaking news. The Round 5 code word has been rescheduled and will be displayed between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on November 1, 2013.

Copies or other mechanical reproductions, facsimiles, entries containing technical or electronic reproductions, entries containing attached files are not eligible and will be rejected. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the holder of the e-mail account will be deemed the person who submitted the entry.  Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.  Limit one entry per person/e-mail address per Round. Multiple entries from the same person in any one Round will be disqualified.  Sponsor are not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misaddressed or misdirected due to technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable internet connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or networks transmissions, inability to access the website or online service, or any other technical error or malfunction.

ELIGIBILITY

This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of California within the KTLA viewing area with valid Facebook accounts, who are 18 years of age or older as of October 25, 2013, and who have not won any other prize from KTLA within the 60 days prior to the Sweepstakes Period. Employees of other media companies (including radio and television), Sponsor and their parent corporations, subsidiaries, or affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies, and such employees' immediate family or household members are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes.

Employees of  KTLA-TV, AEG, and/or any entity involved in the creation, promotion or administration of the Sweepstakes, their respective parent corporations, subsidiaries, or affiliates (collectively “Promotion Entities”), and such employees’ immediate family, household members or relatives are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes. For the purposes of this Sweepstakes, relatives are defined as mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren.

PRIZE AND WINNER SELECTION

On the day after each Round (with the exception of Round 5), all entries received during the that Round will be combined into a single entry pool and one (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing. The drawing for Round 5 will take place on the same day, after the entry deadline for that Round has passed.

Each winner will be notified that he or she has been selected as a winner by telephone or by e-mail.  Winners' names may also be announced by KTLA-TV over the air on KTLA Channel 5 or on KTLA's Facebook pages.

The odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received.  If the winner is not eligible, declines the prize, or cannot be contacted within two (2) hours of the initial notification (including failure to return a phone call), the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner randomly selected by Sponsor from all remaining valid entries in the appropriate Round in this Sweepstakes. 

The winner will receive two (2) tickets valid for admission to see Kanye West perform with Kendrick Lamar at the Honda Center, 2695 E Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA, 92806 on November 1, 2013 December 13, 2013**.

The Approximate Retail Value of the each winner's prize package is $119.00.

The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, may not be combined with any other offer, and have no cash value. Prize substitution will not be allowed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for the prize. Any unused Prize elements will be forfeited.  Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by Sponsor.

All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize, as well as all other costs or expenses involved in obtaining the prize are the responsibility of the Winners.

The prize is not replaceable if lost, stolen, or destroyed, it is not transferable or redeemable for cash, and it may not be sold, nor may it be substituted for another prize, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, or as provided in these rules.

The winners may be required to present valid identification and may be required to sign a Statement of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release by the deadline established by Sponsor in order to receive the prize.  If the winners do not fulfill these requirements, the prize will be forfeited. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of these sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the sweepstakes or any portion of the sweepstakes. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THESE SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES. Information submitted in Internet entries, including entrant's name, address, e-mail address, etc., may be used by Sponsor and Sunset Strip Music Festival for marketing or promotional purposes.

Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Official Rules nor the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any right with respect to any term of these Official Rules, will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of each Sponsor’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance.

By participating in this sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and to release and hold harmless Promotion Entities and all these companies’ parent corporations, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and the officers, directors, agents, and employees of all such companies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of action, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this sweepstakes, and/or your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize and any travel related thereto, including without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, defamation, infringement of intellectual property rights, and claims based on the rights of publicity and privacy.

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with these Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions.

By participating in these sweepstakes, you also agree to have your name, photograph, voice, biographical information, and likeness used in any and all media for promotional purposes relating to these sweepstakes or future similar sweepstakes without further compensation or notice, except as prohibited by law.

These Sweepstakes are in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook.  You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor listed above, and not to Facebook.  The information you provide will only be used by Sponsor and no liability to Facebook shall be incurred.

For a copy of the Official Rules or the name of the winners, send a self-addressed envelope to "KANYE WEST GIVEAWAY OCTOBER 2013", KTLA-TV, Attn: Creative Services, 5800 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90028, by December 1, 2013.  The winner's name will be available after the winner has been verified and the prize has been awarded.
