Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be high school students and U.S. residents who are 14 years to 20 years of age on January 1, 2012, reside in the WKEF-TV and WRGT-TV viewing area, and be an existing user of Facebook.com.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Properties, LLC, Sinclair Television of Dayton, Inc., and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to the television broadcast stations WKEF-TV and WRGT-TV (collectively, the “Stations”), Heartland Federal Credit Union (the “Sponsor”), Facebook.com, Facebook, Inc., their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Entrants will enter as a group, however an entry/release form is required by each individual within the group for the group entry to be valid.
(b) To enter, log on to www.facebook.com/thinkheartland. After liking the page, contestants will download the entry/release form and mail it to Show Choir Contest, 45 Broadcast Plaza, Dayton, Ohio 45417. Follow the online instructions to then upload your completed video. No entries will be displayed on the website until all completed entry/ release forms have been received by Stations. Alternatively, Mail or drop off video entries with accompanying completed entry and release forms are during regular business hours at WKEF/WRGT, 45 Broadcast Plaza, Dayton, OH 45417, Attention: Show Choir Contest. We prefer that all video submissions include in the performance the words: loans and Heartland Federal Credit Union. These video submissions will only appear on Facebook.
(c) The contest starts on March 26, 2012 and all entries (including all entry/release forms) must be received by 11:59 p.m. on April 22, 2012. The Stations and Sponsor are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail/entries, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(d) Video entries of choir groups must contain only original work and may not contain any copyrighted or trademarked material including but not limited to: photograph likenesses of or references to celebrities or known persons alive or dead, recorded music, published works from books, magazines, newspapers, plays, song lyrics, scripts, essays, articles, web site content, or clips from television programs or movies, sports footage, official logos of any organization, existing artwork or graphic design. Entrants cannot use copyrighted music; only original or uncopyrighted music. The Stations reserve the right to edit, crop or alter the video entries without notification to or approval by the entrant.
(e) No royalties, talent fees or compensation will be paid to those who appear in the video entry submissions. Any individual appearing in one of the three (3) finalist’s video submissions will be required to sign an appearance release form. Anyone under the age of 18 who appears in any of the three (3) finalists’ video submissions shall require a parent or legal guardian signature to sign such appearance release to appear in the submission.
(f)All entries (including videos) received that are duplicate, mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including videos) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Stations and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Voting and How to Win
(a)Between 10:00 a.m. EDT on April 23, 2012 and 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 30, 2012, viewers will be prompted to vote on the Heartland Federal Credit Union Facebook fan page for their favorite choir. Voting is limited to one IP address per day. Facebook likes are not considered votes.
(b) The three (3) show choir groups who receive the most votes on the Heartland Federal Credit Union Facebook page will be deemed finalists. Finalists will be notified by phone. If a finalist cannot be notified within two (2) business day, then such finalist will be disqualified, and the choir with the next highest votes will be deemed a finalist. Each of the three finalists will be required to appear at a local location on a date and time as determined by the Station to videotape the choir’s appearance which will air on WRGT on May 15, 2012 between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.
(c) Final voting by text will occur between 9:00 p.m. EDT on May 15,2012 and 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 17, 2012. Limit of one text vote per phone. No other voting mechanism will take place. Facebook Likes of the three finalists are not counted as votes. The finalist choir with the most text votes will be deemed the winner. The winning choir ‘s video will air on May 22, 2012 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. EDT.
The Prize
1. Each of the three finalist choir group will each have the opportunity to perform at the Victoria Theatre Association's Windergarden Wonderland in December 2012. One (1) grand prize choir group will receive an award of $500 for their school from Heartland Federal Credit Union, to benefit the school’s music department. The school’s student council shall vote on the use of the prize to benefit the students. In addition, the winning choir group will have all or part of their video submission air on the Stations between May and June, 2012 on dates and times determined by the Stations. The value of the broadcast schedule cannot be determined.
2. The winning choir will be contacted by phone. The winning school must timely sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility within 10 days of notification. That employee must show school picture identification to claim the prize. Stations reserve the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. Failure to claim the prize within 2 days shall constitute forfeiture of the prize. If forfeited, the Stations may award the prize to an alternate winner with the next highest number of votes, as determined by the Stations.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winner is responsible for any taxes related to the prize based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner should consult their tax consultants regarding any tax questions. In addition, Winner will be required to fill out and sign an IRS form W9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.
6. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Properties, LLC, and Sinclair Television of Dayton, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
7. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Properties, LLC, and Sinclair Television of Dayton, Inc., are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
8. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Properties, LLC, Sinclair Television of Dayton, Inc., and Heartland Federal Credit Union have the right to publicize the winners names, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winners for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

2. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to Show Choir 45 Broadcast Plaza, Dayton, OH 45417 by June 1, 2012.
3. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Properties, LLC, Sinclair Television of Dayton, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Facebook.com, and Heartland Federal Credit Union accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
4. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
5. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
6. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
